Using modular flat pack or shipping containers for both labor accommodation and boutique hotel projects is one of the most efficient ways to build. While the structural bones are identical, the differentiation comes entirely down to the internal layout, insulation choices, and the final decorative finish.For mining camps, construction sites, or remote data center staff dormitories, the priority is maximum density, extreme durability, and ease of cleaning, while maintaining safety and comfort.

Structure & Shell: Usually standard 20ft flat pack containers, coupled together to create large dormitory blocks, shared kitchens, and public sanitation units.
The "Decoration" & Fit-out:
- Walls: Durable EPS, Rockwool, or PU sandwich panels with a pre-painted white steel sheet finish. This eliminates the need for drywall, paint, or wallpaper, allowing the walls to be washed down easily.
- Flooring: Heavy-duty PVC vinyl flooring (usually 1.8mm to 2.0mm thickness) laid over marine-grade plywood or fiber cement boards. It holds up to muddy work boots and constant foot traffic.
- Layout: Highly optimized. A single 20ft container can comfortably house 2 to 4 workers with bunk beds, steel lockers, and integrated compact en-suite bathroom units (integrated toilet, shower, and sink).
