Poor quality prefabricated containers will occupy market in 10 years; Professional factories will be less in 5 years; Clients will bear rubish products, purchase new ones & waste money every 3 years!

FoToon Housing Service, a Chinese Prefabricated Container Building & Shipping Container Building manufacturer and Customize Service provider. We're in the field since 2007, the market changes fast during past 5 years and we'd like to some info as following.

1. Poor quality prefabricated containers will occupy market in 10 years.

Before furtherly discussing the topic, we need to know the prefabricated containers are well developed for resolving temporary accommodation & office functions. With years efforts, and the orginal factories are all doing great in the field and keep improving their container qualities and frame designs. It's good period and all factories keep fair competitions. But someone finds the product is easy to copy and produce, even could produce with much lower price. It has around 8 years that new factories enter into the market, they can get large government projects with very competitive prices; their products are fast industrial ones and no craftsmanship, less even no experieced clients can't find the differences. Especially these projects request 3-5 years lifetime. That's why final clients didn't find the problems. Let's belong these products into level 3-4.

Clients also getting strange that has around USD 1400 - 5000 per standard unit priced products, and difficult to make decisions. For this phenomenon, we think it will last at least another 10 years.

2. Professional factories will be less in 5 years.

More and more poor quality products enter into market, clients are willing to pay less under bad business situation. It left tiny market for factories which produce top quality or level 2, only some previous clients and experienced clients are willing to pay right money to get what they are exactly looking for.

3. Clients will bear rubish products, purchase new ones & waste money every 3 years!

The level 3-4 prefabricated containers cost low and leads to its lifetime about 3-5 years, and then most parts materials will apprear quality problems. It means clients will have to re-purchse in 3-5 years and handling wasted materials. Of course, some projects needs 3-5 years lifetime, which is fine. But for most clients and project, they prefer long lifetime. Our mentioned level 1-2 could supply clients 20-25 years lifetime.

4. Vicious competition and disappearance of high-quality suppliers. 

As far as we know, it has 2 very original prefabricated container manufacturer has bunkrupt and factory closed forever. Definately, it's comprehensive reasons. But also other factories producing top quality products facing similar issue - less orders and tiny profits. Maybe one day, clients could only find 2 , 3 & 4 level products in market. 

5. Finally, we call on all suppliers to innovate in technology rather than simply pursue low prices; if the client and the project allow, try to use high-quality products.
